打擊

在商界、政治舞台或日常生活，遭受打擊無可避免。「打擊」的英文是Blow.它常常用作名詞，例如：Prodemocracy lawmakers dealt the government an embarrassing blow 是「支持民主的立法會議員給政府以尷尬的一擊」，常用的句式有 Deal a great/heavy/severe/serious/terrible blow「給以很大/沉重/嚴重的打擊」，例如：The sanctions have dealt a severe blow to the local tourism industry是「制裁給本地旅遊業以嚴重的打擊」，The economic crisis of 1929 dealt Brazil a heavy blow 是「一九二九年的經濟危機給巴西以沉重的打擊」。其他例子：The death of his mother dealt him a terrible blow 是「母親的去世使他受到沉重的打擊」不用Deal也可以，例如：Her death is a great blow to him 是「她的去世對他打擊很大」。
